Enter Jude Warner. Hired by Love's ex-husband to wine, dine and marry her in 6 months so Hunter LeGrand no longer has to pay her alimony and Hunter is willing to pay millions to make it happen.

Love- "We had nothing when we tied the knot, which meant we had no reason to sign a pre-nup, which meant I was entitled to half his earnings as well as alimony."

Jude- "Every time I think about what I'm doing, I hate myself a little bit more than the time before, but if I'm going to do this, I can't think that way. I have to harden my heart, ignore that voice in my head that tells me how f$#@ed up this whole thing is, and keep pushing forward."

Jude has his reasons for doing this "job" for Hunter. You need to read to find out what all the reasons are on your own though.

Love and Jude's first meeting is a set up through Jude's manipulations but of course Love doesn't know that. She is intrigued, curious, and definitely attracted. Pretty much everything from the start is set up to fulfill what Jude has been hired to do, but he is also intrigued, curious, and definitely attracted. This is the heart of the story. Love doesn't want "love" any more and Jude doesn't believe he deserves it because of what he is doing to Love, no matter how desperately he wants it.

Winter Renshaw has written another 5 star read for me. I absolutely love her ability to weave a tale and suck me into the story rooting for the couple. There are engaging secondary characters, there is some angst, there are times you want the opportunity to find Hunter and punch him in the face and lower for being such an a&^hole narcissist, basically all the reasons to recommend that you read this book.

I received an Advanced Reader copy and voluntarily am leaving my honest review, but because I enjoyed this book so much and have to have it in my own personal collection I went ahead and purchased my own copy.

A very unexpected emotional read for me. I love Winter and her writing. She always delivers, and this book is no exception. This book had everything I love about reading. You get your strong heroine, the broken yet noble Hero, and the emotional roller coaster that is love.

Jude is an aspiring music artist who is currently laid off from work. He not only has to take care of himself, but he also has his sister and nieces depending on him. When the opportunity of a lifetime is presented to him, Jude must do what he has to do in order to save his family.
Love is recently divorced, and living a nice quite life in New York. She is a simple girl, who loves simple things. Living a life of luxury was never for her. Newly divorced, she is now trying to find herself and what she wants to do with the rest of her life. The only thing she knows for certain is that love is not in the cards for her. She doesn't want it or need it.
When Jude barges into Love's life, things don't go as planned. He is to woo her, get her to love him, and then get her down the aisle within 6 months. It's what is in the contract. He cannot fail. But he never counted on Love being who she is. Love is exactly the opposite of what Jude was expecting. And Love is everything that he never knew he wanted.
I truly loved reading this book. I found myself turning the pages in anticipation of what would happen next. I felt every emotion each of the characters fought through. I think I felt even more for Jude. He really was a good person in spite of the bad thing he was doing. We as the readers knew his reasons, we knew what drove him to do this awful thing. We could sympathize with him. I was on his team from the beginning. My heart broke for him as the story went on. When reading, I often find myself connecting and sympathizing with the heroine, but with this book, it was Jude and that never happens. I started to cry when I read this
"Everything happened so fast, and it ended just as quickly. I blinked and I met her. I blinked and I lost her. I lived for those moments in between"
I mean, come on!! Tears!!! He had been through so much in life, and all he wanted was to be deserving of Love.
I was in tears by the end of the book. It was so well written and such an amazing story. I highly recommend reading this book!
